See Creatures is a creative design studio based in Brighton, UK. Creating thoughtful and beautiful designs for clients is the core of all our work. We love what we do! Pushing design boundaries, working to the fast pace of emerging trends to create fresh designs for aspirational brands.
Founded in 2014 by Creative Director Dan Walters whose 15 years experience in the surface pattern design industry has enabled the studio to grow worldwide.
Joined by his partner Sarah Kelly as Studio Manager in 2016, and a small team of fantastic in-house designersa year later, the studio has grown and continues to produce high quality, unique, curated and inspiring collections for kids, menswear, womenswear, active, products and swimwear.
Alongside surface pattern design, we also create murals, design interiors, art direct projects and design brand identities for a range of clients. We enjoy being part of both the global and local design community and are open to collaborations and projects of any size.
In 2018 Dan co-founded the Know Ideas Podcast with graphic designer and film maker Anthony Peters. Each episode in a narrative based interview with notable and inspiring creatives to give insight into their lives and critical turning points in their careers. So far they have included Anthony Burrill, Lisa Congdon, Rose Blake, Mr. Bingo, Camille Walala and Aaron Draplin to name a few …… Subscribe to the podcast here.

Do you do custom patterns?
Yes we do, alongside consultation on print collections, colour stories and brand design. Just get in touch to discuss what you need.
Is your collection online?
It is available online, but only to existing customers. If you wish to request a password then get in touch.
Where can I see your work?
We work with many major brands around the world, however our name is not on many things we do. check out Dan’s mural projects here in Brighton at Bison Beer, The Pond, Easy Tiger or Tidy Print.
Do you do internships?
Yes! Keep an eye on our website and Instagram, opportunities will be always be advertised there first, and it’s the best way of keeping up to date with our work!
Where do you show the collection?
We travel extensively to the USA, Europe and also within the UK. If you’d like us to visit you in your office then drop us an email. We also attend the Premiere Vision Designs show in New York and Paris throughout the year.
Where do you get your ideas?
We try to use many different avenues instead of just search engines. Second hand books, gallery shows, films, podcasts, collected printed ephemera, magazines, travel, shop research and personal self initiated projects help inspire new things for us and our customers.
Where are you based?
We are based in Brighton on the South Coast of the UK. We are smack bang in the centre of the busy, inspiring North Laine. Brighton is situated between the sea and the beautiful South Downs National Park. It has a vibrant design and social scene and diverse demographic, and we love being a part of it.
